Privacy and terms

Clutch Radar has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. This page explains the little that does happen with your data when you visit.

Who runs this site

Clutch Radar (clutchradar.com) is an independent, non-commercial hobby project run by a private person in Denmark. For any question about this page or your data, write to [email protected].

If you support the site on Buy Me a Coffee, that happens on their site and under their privacy policy; payments go through Stripe. We only see what Buy Me a Coffee shows creators, such as the name and message you choose to leave, never your card details.

What we collect

Nothing about you personally. You cannot sign up, log in or post anything, and we do not ask for your name or email. Our own database only holds public data about channels, videos, games, movies, TV shows and matches (see "Where the data comes from").

Like every website, the server receives your IP address and browser details when it sends you a page. We use them only to deliver the page and to keep the site safe. We do not save them in our database or use them to identify you.

Cookies and storage in your browser

We set no cookies. One thing is remembered in your own browser (local storage), and only if you use it: the country you choose for "Where to watch" on a movie or TV show page (the key cr-country), so the next title page shows the same country. It never leaves your device, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Cloudflare

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and makes it faster. Cloudflare processes your IP address for that. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and only shows us totals. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Mail to [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the owner's inbox.

Pictures and players from other sites

Pictures are loaded straight from the services they belong to: Twitch, YouTube, TMDB, IGDB, PandaScore and the news sites we link to. Those servers see your IP address when your browser fetches a picture, as with any image on the web.

Video players are never loaded until you press play. When you do, the YouTube player (YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, youtube-nocookie.com) or the Twitch player is loaded from YouTube or Twitch, and their own privacy rules and cookies apply from then on. Closing the YouTube window removes the player again.

YouTube

Clutch Radar uses YouTube API Services to show YouTube's own lists of popular and live videos, with YouTube's own numbers. We never ask you to connect a YouTube or Google account and we do not access any data about you. By watching videos on this site you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Video data we keep is deleted after at most 30 days.

Where the data comes from

Live channels, clips and game covers: the Twitch API. Videos: the YouTube Data API. Movies and TV shows: TMDB (this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB), with streaming availability from JustWatch and ratings from IMDb. Games: IGDB, with player counts from the Steam Web API (players on Steam only). Esports matches: PandaScore. Clutch Radar is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these services.

Terms of use

Clutch Radar is free to use. All data is shown as it comes from the services above and can be out of date or wrong; viewer counts and lists are snapshots. Names, logos, pictures and videos belong to their owners. Please do not copy the site's data in bulk or overload it with automated requests.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what data we have about you, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to [email protected]. Since we keep no personal data, there is usually nothing to find. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work (in the EU and EEA, see the list of national authorities). Since the site is run from Denmark, you can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet. Outside the EU, your local privacy laws may give you similar rights; you can always write to us.

Changes

If the site starts doing something new with data, for example a newsletter, this page will say so before it starts, with a new date at the top.
